This is my first series of recordings which were distributed as Christmas gifts on two CD's to my close friends and family. They are posted here in MP3 format for all to enjoy. The title is a metaphor for what we leave behind as we journey through life. It is my hope that this is the first of many "Footsteps" CDs. I started playing guitar when I was about 15 and stopped when I graduated High School. After an 18 year break, I picked it up again in the fall of 2001, thanks to the release of the sheet music of many of Steve Hackett's classical guitar pieces. Tired of constantly making mistakes, I started taking lessons from Aris Quiroga in the spring of 2003. By late summer of 2003, recording became the primary focus of my guitar study. With the encouragement of my wife Stephanie, I started this compilation in early October with the goal of having it ready by Christmas. The great majority of these selections were done in late November with only two of the October recordings making it to CD, and those two have been mixed to the extreme.
